About

May my story reflect what God has done within me,
my life, and my unchanged circumstances.

Hi, I'm Tricia

I am a redeemed and restored child of God. As a wife, mom of two adult children and a teenager, my blessings overflow, and I find great joy in these roles. Also, I am a writer and an aspiring author who follows God’s lead, one word of encouragement at a time. Born and raised in the Midwest, I currently live in northern Minnesota. Although I love our summers and autumns, Midwest winters can be harsh. My dream is to live near the mountains and ocean, where I experienced God’s presence in ways that forever changed my heart and led me to answer the call to write.

Starting my day with Jesus is important to me. My mornings begin in what my family named Mom’s spare room. A place where I sip coffee or tea while reading, writing, praying, and studying God’s Word.

My Journey from Broken to Restored

I struggled with masked depression for almost three decades before I came face to face with a series of events that I believed would leave me permanently broken. They included the sting of betrayal and rejection, broken relationships, and the trauma of my son’s incarceration. I’ve felt the pain of a mother’s broken heart and the loneliness of a crowded room. It was a painful season, but one that God walked me through in order to arrive in a much needed relationship with Him!

In the middle of my brokenness, I realized my lukewarm faith was not enough. The weight of my new ordeal, which piled atop previous trauma and my unattended depression, became too heavy. That forced me to release the reins and hand them to God. In humble surrender, I laid everything at the foot of the cross and allowed Jesus to lead the way. With each step I took with Him, the dark valley I walked through turned brighter and more peaceful.

In my most desperate moments, God met me where I was. He healed my wounds by weaving His grace, love, hope, and peace into my life. Whenever I felt alone, our loving Father reminded me He was alongside me. Our generous and compassionate God gave me His strength when I had none left. When I cried, He wiped my tears. He silenced the lies I had believed for many years and gave me His truths to hold on to.

The overwhelming comfort and acceptance of my Shepherd were more powerful than the debilitating heartache I had been feeling. I embraced my Heavenly Father’s love and began my journey of writing with a prayer journal. Studying God’s Word and applying His truths to my life has opened my heart to a peaceful and hope-filled life, giving me a new heartbeat that aligns with His.

My Answer to God’s Calling: “Yes, Lord!”

During my painful and undesirable moments, God led me to come alongside other hurting women and share His love, comfort, hope, and promises of peace. Through writing and speaking, I can live out my current God-ordained assignment: to lift and inspire women with biblical encouragement and truths.
